Patient Access to Health Records

Patient & Professional Experts Survey

 WELCOME

Patients’ access to their health information in general, and the electronic health records in particular, is of great importance. In the Citizen and Health Data Working Group, we are interested in exploring the current implementation of these types of eHealth services across the world. This is our first step to investigate the current state of implementation, and we will summarize and publish the results in different venues. The survey is completely anonymous. If you are interested in contributing to further research on this topic, at the end of the survey you have the option to leave your contact details following a separate link.

The survey is short, and some questions require more elaborate answers than is possible in this format. We are aware of the limitations, and we hope you will use the free-text comments to elaborate your answers.

Results may be summarised in an academic publication. For this, we will store the anonymous data for 10 years on a cloud storage drive approved by Uppsala University, Sweden. The data holder will be Maria Hägglund. If you have any questions about the data, please use the email maria.hagglund@kbh.uu.se for contact. This survey does not collect sensitive personal information or IP addresses and is exempt from ethical review in accordance with Swedish legislation.

We hope that you are willing to participate, both by answering this survey and by joining our future efforts in studying and increasing patients’ access to their electronic health records!

Kind Regards,

Maria Hägglund, PhD
